A recent “hot topic” in the popular press has been infections with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staph. aureus). BLASTOMYCOSIS is the most common systemic fungal infection in Wisconsin. Recently a urinary antigen test has NASAL ASPERGILLOSIS is another common fungal infection. Its diagnosis and treatment will be addressed. LEPTOSPIROSIS will be included in the differential diagnosis list. What are its varied clinical presentations? What ANTIBIOTICS are the most commonly prescribed medication with newer antibiotics coming on the market. What Upon Completion of this Course Package:You will have the most up-to-date information on the 4 most commonly tested for infectious diseases:Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Lyme and Heartworm disease. You will have the latest information and feel confident addressing client’s concerns about MRSA infections. You will know the best way to diagnose and treat the most common fungal infections (Blastomycosis and Nasal Aspergillosis). You will recognize all the potential clinical presentations and know the best way to test for and treat Leptospirosis.
